Helping Yourself 2020 provides evidence for the mind-body at dis-ease and features ideas on care for ourselves and our communities with a focus on the chronic condition.


The existing health care system increasingly fails us. Chronic suffering and illness are on the rise. Often their causes remain unknown. Self-care and mindfulness techniques tend to further exploit the self to increase our productivity. What is really helping us? What can we do to help ourselves?

Sharing from own experience, our knowledge and research, however subtle or impactful, this resource has suggestions for coping, treatment and prevention from what makes us sick. We are curious about alternative ways of practice and bringing creative voices together.
